The Business Exchange Meet between Qingdao and Punjab of Pakistan was Held in Qingdao
CNQC Attended the Meet and Signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Party from Pakistan
On July 28, the Business Exchange Meet between Qingdao, China and Punjab, Pakistan was held in Qingdao Shangri-La Hotel. Li Qun, the Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Municipal Party Committee met with the chief minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif etc. and attended the signing ceremony of Qingdao, China/Punjab, Pakistan Economic and Trade Cooperation Project held soon afterwards. The Chairman of the board of directors of Guotsing Holding Group Co., Ltd and President Ding Hongbin and Chairman and CEO of CNQC Liu Zhouxue were invited to attend above activity. On behalf of the Group, the CEO of CNQC Liu Hongyan signed the Memorandum of Understanding with relevant parties from Pakistan.
Li Qun gave a warm welcome to guests’ visit in Qingdao. He said, “as the main node city of the economic corridor of “The Belt and Road” New Eurasian Land Bridge and the supporting point for Maritime Cooperation Strategy, Qingdao is comprehensively integrating in construction of “The Belt and Road”, integrating superior resources, setting up the carrier platform and deepening communications and cooperation with countries and regions along the Silk Road continuously at present”. In the end of last year, I led delegation of Qingdao City to make a friendly visit to Pakistan, during which, the two parties signed many strategic cooperation agreements focusing on Gwadar Port and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to develop a wide cooperation space. I hope to innovate the cooperation model further, deepen pragmatic cooperation between the two parties and gain more achievements by means of this visit.”
Shahbaz Sharif expressed that he was happy to visit China for the first time and beautiful cityscape and developed business environment of Qingdao impressed the delegation. He also expressed that China and Pakistan have been established diplomatic relations for 65 years so far and he hoped to make closer cooperation between governments and business circles of China and Pakistan to bring benefits to people of the two countries.
During this exchange activity, agreements on ten cooperation projects related to joint construction of industrial park, economy and trade, education, agriculture, intelligent transportation, petroleum refinery and electronic commerce and so on were signed. According to agreement, the two parties will actively impel construction of Qingdao-Punjab Industrial Park in Punjab, Pakistan and encourage enterprises of the two parties to carry out the investment cooperation in the industrial park and provide all-round services for enterprises of the two parties to carry out the economic and trade cooperation.
